What We Do

Our vision for WOVEN is to establish a supportive community for weaving women veterans of all eras, experiences, geographies, and armed services together in the spirit of connecting, sharing, and serving each other, our fellow veterans, their families and our communities.

Since we are a network of volunteers, there is never any pressure to attend meetings. Our goal is to ensure our contributions as women veterans remain visible and memorable.

Why We Do It

There are over 2.2 million women veterans in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, and our numbers are rising since women now comprise over 15% of our Active Duty forces, 17% of our Reserve and National Guard, and 20% of new military recruits.  As of 2013, Women veterans make up 10% of the veteran population!
